Typically participants can wait for months to secure real-life placements, disrupting the momentum of their training progress and readiness to work. Whilst we understand this challenge, Alffie believes that on the job practical experience is far superior then virtual alternatives, hence why we have worked hard to find the right solution.
Now, Alffie guarantees all participants an in-person placement from within three weeks of being considered ‘ready,’ ensuring a seamless transition from trimming to the workforce, whilst also helping Employment Service Providers met their obligations.*

The Alffie Work Placement team checks to ensure the participant is ready to go on placement.
Interview
SkilTrak interviews the participant to learn about their skillset, preferences, goals, location and travel options.
Search
SkilTrack starts searching for placements through their industry partners, finding a perfect match based off the participant’s preferences and skills.
Work Placement Interview
The Work Placement host and participant meet to discuss the opportunity.
& Preparation
The Work Placement contract is initiated and signed by the host, participant, and Alffie. The assessment workbooks are released.
Placement
The participant begins work placement. SkilTrak makes a pre-call as well as a mid-way call to the participant to ensure things are going well.
& Certificate
The participant completes their work placement. The participant and host upload their workbooks and Alffie completes the final assessment and certificate issue.
*Guarantee Conditions
To maintain the three-week placement guarantee, students must attend scheduled interviews and select one of the three placement options provided. If all options are declined or interviews missed, the guarantee cannot apply. We strive to arrange placements within 20km of participants’ homes; however, participants in regional areas may experience a longer wait time or need to consider placements further from home to ensure timely completion
