The CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is designed for those who want to make a meaningful impact in the lives of older Australians. This hands-on course equips students with the practical skills and knowledge needed to provide safe, person-centred care in aged care settings such as residential facilities, home care, or community services.
Throughout the course, students will learn how to support individuals living with dementia, assist with daily activities in line with personalised care plans, and apply a palliative approach when responding to signs of pain or discomfort. Students will also develop the ability to provide compassionate end-of-life care and use a strengths-based approach to meet the unique needs of each person they support.
